If you still don’t know who BLACKPINK is, then you still clearly haven’t been hit with that Ddu-Du-DDu-Du. The four member girl group makes history as first K-Pop girl group to perform at Coachella. With this in mind, the golden maknae of the group, Lisa Manoban also becomes the most followed K-Pop artist on Instagram quickly surpassing EXO’s Chanyeol‘s spot.
As the girls continue to hit the road and dominate the world’s top cities with their killing performances, their photos on Instagram have also been hitting the highest number of likes.
This is when we noticed Lisa wearing a favourite accessory brand of the Instagram fashion communities. After taking a closer look at the photo she uploaded on the first day of Coachella, it appears that she is wearing the Slice of the Moon earring from a Korean accessory brand named TWENTYONEAUGUSTT.
In fact, this isn’t the first time she has been seen wearing an accessory from them. Looking back at October last year where we saw a dance teaser choreographed by Lisa herself for YG’s X Academy, Lisa was wearing the Double Ball Pant Chain.
Speaking of Korean fashion, chain-drop earrings are certainly the “it” accessory for both men and women. Despite the fact that the label only began its journey early last year, a great amount of groups such as GOT7 have already cleared the newest additions to the current collection and have even had custom ones specially made for them.
Although this may be true, there are countless of brands out there who specialise in the same idea. So why are artists going crazy for this brand? The mastermind behind the brand who goes by the Instagram username @95qt spends immeasurable amount of hours handcrafting all these accessories by herself.
JYP Entertainment’s GOT7 is our usual client but I have also made custom ones for BTS in the “Euphoria” M/V and a few other highly named solo artists such as Jay Park and Sik-K.– Queenie Toh
It wasn’t long until the brand launched their official webstore offering a worldwide shipping service.
Rapidly rising in popularity in the fashion scene, order numbers have also started to increase not only in Korea but as well as Japan and around Europe. KOBOO founder and writer Raphael Paz has recently been appointed as International Brand Ambassador to take some weight off Queenie‘s shoulders. The Slice of The Moon Earrings as seen on Lisa will be available in limited quantities on the KOBOO webstore.
Meanwhile, check out the girls play a game of “Flinch” on the Late Late Show with James Corden!
